What, where, how: Here`s everything you need to know about shopping the fashion from ‘To India, With Love’

FT NEWS

We have celebrated India’s indigenous craftsmanship—through family heirlooms and designer trousseaus, all the way to international runways and ateliers—for many years. This is our time to give back. In the spirit of community and upliftment during vulnerable times like this, Vogue India joins hands with the Natasha and Adar Poonawalla Foundation, and impact partner GiveIndia, to raise funds through a one-of-a-kind initiative. ‘To India, With Love’ is a virtual fundraiser that brings together eminent fashion designers from across continents, who believe in the cause of our artisanal community, just like we do.

Here’s how you can be a part of this initiative: Tune into Vogue.in on October 9 at 7pm to watch the full fashion film, where a host of fashion designers, influencers and patrons, including international editors make their pledges to their cause. The film will simulcast on Vogue’s Facebook, Instagram and YouTube platforms. You can also directly support the karigars by donating now on Vogueindia.giveindia.org or shopping from the participating designers from October 7 onwards. From upcycled Ikat saris, silk jackets and brocade kimonos to draped ensembles, gowns and embroidered dresses, the curation includes an array of handcrafted pieces pledged by the fashion houses. There are also India-inspired bags, jewellery pieces and footwear by coveted international labels to choose from.
